GXP has been sold.
Well the time had come to let it go, and it was a tough decision. I sold it to better my collection of Snap-on tools So, hello Classic 78 toolbox and 1/2" drive impact set!
I loved my car, but the payments were starting to become a real burden
and I owe the IRS money Plus, the car needed tires, a rear window regulator, and a few other things that I just don't have the money for. This economy sucks major *****.. However, I now have over 10K in Snap On tools with more coming

It was just time to move on. IMHO the car was pretty much done, and was in need of maintenance. I hate to say it, but its true... "Going faster means going RWD".
Absolutely! I will be graduating from college this summer and will be working as an automotive technician. In fact, I will be taking 4 ASE test tonight. My goal is to become a Master Tech within a few years.
I will be in the hunt for a 88-92 4cyl Mustang notchback. Something clean and cheap to put a LSX into.

To add to my build for those looking to go faster, this is what I recommend.
Engine:
-TPiS 90mm LS6 snout
-LS2 TB
-LS7 MAF with matching coupler/air filter
-3.50" collector welded in place of the DT 3.00"
-3.5" catless into a cutout before reducing into 3.00" exhaust
Front brakes:
-Downgrade to http://www.pfyc.com/pc/WB4006/GPSUSP...rand+Prix.html
Front suspension:
-ZZP lower control arms
Front wheel and tire package:
-26x10.50 ET Street with tubes
-16x8 or 16x9 wheels
Rear suspension:
-Custom coil overs with adjustable spring rates set up for drag racing. I forgot the name of the company who builds them for us.
I am pretty sure this combo would run 12 teens at 115-116mph in hot weather, but will cost another $4000.00

I was basically looking to get what I put into the topend for profit.
Trade in is 9,000 and private party is 11,500. I was asking 15,000 but had to come down a little.
I have the privilege of being the first to run 12's N/A, owning dyno sheets, and being featured in LSXTV magazine. I miss it deeply, and feel like ****.. Gotta look at the big picture in order to carry on.

This is making me sad and it's not even my car. I can't imagine putting all of that work into my Impala and having to get rid of it. Hope it all works out in the end and maybe one day you will have another.
My dad used to have a Grand National in his 20's and it got lemon lawed. He still wants one, but they are the same price as they were new. Hopefully the price keeps going down on these and you can have another one some day.
