Default Flowmaster 40 series vs Flowmaster 44 series

Im looking to remove the horrible stock mufflers and put either the 40 or 44 series. Which ones would you pick if you had to choose?

magniflow if you have performance on your mind, or anyother "straight thru" design muffler.

dotcomparts.com sells magnaflows and flowmasters for about the same price, thats were i got mine..
i have the delta flow 40 mufflers with no resonator, from the cat 3 inch piping to a 2.5 y pipe no resonator.. if i could do my exhaust again (money wise) i wouldve gone with a little quieter set up and got an electric cut out for whenever i wanna be loud.. but thats just my 2 cents hehe

my exhaust is pretty loud.. although i love how my engine seems to be louder then the exhaust
never thot id like flowmasters but to me it sounds pretty good..

my friend that lives by me has an 07 impy ss with stock piping just swapped mufflers with super 44s and theyr as loud as mine and he has his resonator on.. theyr deeper.. between 40 and 44s, me, i like being loud so i wuda gone with 44s if i wanted it louder.. theyr nice n deep..

2.5" cat-back exhaust to flowmaster super 44's ( they look awsome in black). I get compliments on the sound daily. Before I had the tips put on, the exhaust would shake the whole car! I think you will be happy just changing the mufflers out to anything, but I am biased towards the flowmaster's. Getting a larger pipe from the cat on back will make a huge sound difference.

Our cars don't have true duals, no H-pipe or X-pipe, its just a single set up like last fouth gen Trans am and Camaro but we have 2 mufflers.
