Well I found out yesterday that I have type 2 diabetes. Anyone else here with this? I have been prescribed Metaformin.

Nick there is type 1 and type 2. 1 is insulin injection the one I have is a pill to take.
David diet and exercise will help

No symptoms just my yearly check up. They do blood work every year and it showed up

Sorry to hear about that Mel. My old man has it too, he was able to get his under control with his diet. Was on pills for about a year or so then the Dr. took him off after his diet changed and he lost about 25lbs or so. Hang in there, it could be alot worse. It's definitley a life altering condition, but as my old man said it worked out for the better. It gave him a reason to actually watch what he put into his mouth. He looks better aswell, not that he was really over weight or anything. Good luck, sounds like you cought it early so you should be just fine.

I want to thank all you guys your good friends for your concern. I will start the diet tomorrow and the meds. I hope to knock this thing out quick and take control and get off the meds!! Again thanks your good friends

Just do what the docs tell you and take care of yourself and you'll be just fine.
