Air Conditioning gone NUTS
Today it broke a temperture record in Central NY of 83 degrees. So I decide to turn on the air conditioning in the Monte SS. Ut-Oh..... It would not come on correctly. It would run ok in Park, as soon as I put it in gear and put any pressure on gas peddle, the light on the air conditioning **** would blink and air would go off. It would only run in park or if I was coasting or barely any peddle pressure at all. It would also shut off if I stepped on the brakes. Also it would switch on it's own from outside air to inside air (recurculate), light kept switch back and forth. So all I got is a nice fancy light show on the dash! Any ideas? Seems like it is cutting out with any acceleration at all, even very, very light acceleration.
I am thinking computer problem, since it does work in Park, I am getting cold air in Park.

If it helps, the ECM controls the A/C clutch, but a seperate HVAC module (integrated with the all of the buttons and mounted in the dash) tells the ECM when A/C is needed. Could be either module, or a loose connector if you were messing around under the hood or in the dash.

On a somewhat related note...
Have you guys noticed how much power we lose with that sucker on?
Also mine is crazy loud, sounds like a supercharger while the car is running around town...

Took car to Stealership today. Only $301 to fix a broken wire! My fault I guess. I made a nice CAI air box of aluminum and I guess it rubbed against a small cable connected to an air conditioning sensor right below it , between the box and the tranny.
