All i can say is wow
As the title of the thread says, thats how i feel right now. I went to Honda Day with a few of my buddies on sunday (I had nothing to do so went). There were alot of nice cars. A real man appreciates a fine body regardless the make and boy were there alot of nice cars. We went to watch the hondas run their stuff and there was a honda that ran 8.99 w/o a bottle and one that ran a 8.79 with a bottle. All i could say is hot damn thats fast. How can we match those times without a Nitrous Kit?? Or is it even possible?

Was that 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile???
If it was 1/4 mile you could do those #'s with a big turbo, forged engine, built trans, some N2O would help, lots of weight reduction, need a cage and probably about 20-35K....
Would not be streetable, and would be more expensive than the original sticker price of the car...
Would surprise people though!!!
Edit: forgot suspension mods and frame/chassis strengthening.....

If a honda is running 8s in the 1/4, it's not a street car and it's probably got an insane size turbo. In that case, looks at how many non street car, 8 second F-bodies there are.
I still rather have a 10-11 second street car over an 8 second trailer queen! Or even a honda, lol.

I got a friend building a 10/11 sec '92 Civic hatch. The car will weigh about 1800-1900 lbs and only make about 350 whp, built motor and turbo. All our cars need is a diet, lol.
I'm really thinking about gutting mine when I boost (and maybe spray) it.

Very true they defintely weren't street legal at all but damn it 8 seconds is fast especially for a FWD but then again wit those cheap *** cars, modding them are easy thats why they use them
