Thinking about having the Ubend delete and O2 sensor re-routed. What impact will this have on my transmission warranty?

I don't think it has anything to do with transmission, the u-bend is a restricter to the exhaust. I don't think the GXP's have a very big u-bend, but I'm not too sure about the IMP/MC.

The u-bend before the cat is pretty bad. I have an appt to have this done one saturday, but my tranny is also acting like **** so I dont want to do anything (else) that will screw me on the warranty.

It will not impact the warranty on your transmission, they are not related. And some gxps have a huge U-bend like mine did.

i dont think thats even that bad. the u bend on the 3800 was absurd.

Yeah it was. My 02 Monte U-bend was terrible, so I bought a downpipe

Yeah, I took this pic when I had my power steering go out. I didn't think it was too bad either. I doubt "fixing" the u-bend on our cars would even make a difference.

My 07 Monte SS didi not have an actual U bend, it was more of an area cut into the pipe and another piece of pipe welded in, like a big indent. Any, its gone with a Hogam catted downpipe.

I cut my cat out and they're fixing my trans under warranty. As long as there's no mods to the trans itself you're fine, at least that's what they told me.

Also the 08 GXPs don't have U-bends.

Wow you guys are right. Looking at it underneath the car it looks pretty bad! But when you see it pulled out like in RickAKAted's photo, it really doesnt look like it will be a good use of money to have it changed.

Thanks for the input guys, I think Ill save myself a hundred bux or so and put it towards the Hogan instead!

I didn't know we had a U bend on our cars....I thought that was a 3800 thing...

My stock DP is different than the pictures, same but the o2 area, I will try to post a pic tomorrow.
