Default getting the gxp dynotuned!

well for gxp rachies birthday, i decided to go ahead and pay to get her car dynotuned at a friends local shop. he will be tuning the car with hp tuner software, one of my main questions is, upon increasing the line pressure of the transmission will a shift kit still be neccessary.? also we will be doing a electric cutout on the car a month or so afterwards and am also curious if we will have to re dyno tune?....also what numbers can be expected, car currently has a custom pvc 3inch fwi intake with a monster cone filter on it and a 3inch downpipe back to the stock y and stock mufflers.

See how you like the feel of the increased line pressure and go from there. If it feels good to you, you don't need a shift kit. If you want more "chirp", then a shift-kit is less than $50 to buy, maybe x2 to get it installed.

For the cutout, yes, you'd need a retune to maximize performance, as you would with any mod that increases what's going in or out of an engine.

Whether or not you'd feel a difference between tuned w/o cutout versus tuned with cutout is another story, however.

It depends on the placement of your cutout. If you place it too close to the cutout then you'll have tuning issues.

I had mine right by the rear control arms. It's up to you though.

Is there any downside to putting it before the cat?

If you put it before the O2 or too close it will murder your tuning, unless you run open loop like I do.
