anybody install lucerne/dts nav system in impala
I know the buick lucerne has the same radio area as the impala.Wanted to see if the lucerne or possibly the cadillac dts factory nav system would plug into the impala.

Thanks Man!
I know a DTS unit won't physically fit due to the faceplate taper, but the Lucerne's should. There are two questions, though:
1. Do you have Bose in your Impala? If you do, any factory Nav swap is easy. If you don't. it's a bit more work and costly.
2. You'll need to find out what the pinouts are on the unit you intend to swap in. These cars should have the standard GM 29-bit CAN, so the harnesses should plug-in, but you should reseach this.
Then there's the issue of the VSS wire, which you'll need to run to the back of the radio.
If you don't want to bother with all the research, then just buy a 2007+ Tahoe/Yukon Nav unit off eBay for $400 and follow the directions I've laid out in another thread (you'll have to do a seach) in this forum.
