Nice job. Did you prep the wheels? Use primer?
...just wondering b/c I did something similar this weekend with a pair of spare wheels that were damaged during an accident last year. One of the wheels I sanded down with a special disc and then primed, painted, and cleared. The other wheel needed an epoxy repair to a deep gouge, then I lightly hand sanded, primed, painted and cleared.
I know I didn't do a perfect job on the gouge, and surely did not fill the swirly scratch, but these were a test before I do the 4 on the car.
Need to find the $ to put a couple used tires on these two to see if it's the route I want to really go, since I'm definitely selling my 20's and really tired of the stock polished look. The alternative is to spend the money I get from the 20s and put it on a new set of aftermarket 18's.

All i did was sand them down with 320 fine grit sandpaper and started spraying with flat black wheel paint from auto zone..... total came out to around $15 two cans and one pack of sandpaper....
didnt bother with primer or clear coat since its flat black..

Looks like I've started a trend... All I did was 'lightly sand' and 1 year later there's a few chips, not too bad, until I had to trailer my car (on a trailer JUST big enough for my car...) and my father-in-law told me wrong and scraped the hell out of my front pass side rim... Repainting them tomorrow hopefully.
They do make flat clear... Just saying.

niceee i painted mine flat black at first as well but after a while it looks too crappy, like primer... i got some good *** spraypaint later with gloss to it and they look clean imo not too glossy/mirror finish and not too flat...
painted mine like 5 months ago and theyr still holding up just fine, just wana sand em down again to the bare metal and repaint em, few spots look crappy n stuff..
clean regardless...

in all honesty guys the 99 cent black paint from wal mart works best, ive been painting rims with wal mart spray paint for a while, comes out pretty damn glossy, and is durable, all i do is wash and dry the rims good and just spray the rim no need to sand no need to prime...i can post pics if anyone is interested in seeing the finished product on a few of my past cars
