Ls4 fit into G6??
I'm in process of buying a 2006 pontiac g6 se, i test drove the car has a nice kick on the speed but I still want that power from a Ls motor don't know really much about Ls4 motors, all I know they are front wheel, 5.3 motor I really like to swap a Ls4 motor into the G6 to have more power & great sleeper can this project be done? & what other GM cars carry the Ls4 with a swap.
Thanks George

That would be a ton of work, but I do believe a 3800 would fit in there, not sure the blower could clear the hood, but that is part of the making it fit process.
The LS4 barely fits in our cars and the W Body is a pretty large car.

Read up.
Also, might want to try for an L32, the newer version of the L67.

dude for the money and time youd spend trying to do wierd engine swaps you might as well go get yourself a custom turbo setup and tons of head and exhaust work. The motors in the G6s are running close to what my blown L32 is stock for stock.

Just go for a g6 gtp they are pretty stout little cars and fun to drive, more fun to dd than my fbody, I've got an 06 g6 gtp and its a lot of fun to drive.
There is no room in the engine bay either I'm debating trading mine when it needs plugs lol

There so much more potential for the 3800 than either the 3.6 or 3.9 that I wouldn't even begin to consider using the 60* 3.6/3.9 if I was going to do said swap. There are basically no mods for these later 60* engines. There is a massive amount of things available for the 3800: tuning, cams, intercoolers, turbo kits, etc. While a lot of the people on the forum are jerks, there is a lot of good information over on clubgp.com although it might take some digging to find it. There's numerous people making over 300 WHP, with a decent number of turbo cars making over 450.

I had a G6, used to be an admin on G6performance.com....
Great car in a way, but typical GM interior. I didn't last long in it. The 3.5 left something to be desired and the auto stick was pointless. I am sure the GTP is different but the 3.5 is blah. There are much better choices than that V6. I bought mine because I got a steal of a deal and I still got rid of it early and bought the GXP.
And yeah the 3800 has way more potential than these newer motors.
I wouldn't buy a car looking to swap the motor though, sounds like you should just buy a different car?

Putting an LS4 in a G6 is probably just a matter of time, $$$ and extensive fabrication. I think would be a very cool swap.
The LS4 has already been swapped into several Fieros and several other V8's have been swapped into FWD cavaliers/corsicas. Hell, if a guy can put a N* transverse in a MR2...
