It's a GM, car broke down, officer stopped to assist.

I kid, I kid, What appalling crime did you commit!? I wish I had been able to take pics of my run in. 1 pissed off sheriff, and minutes later, 12 cop cars buzzing in and out of parking lots looking for the dude I was racing.

well it was a friday evening, and the Central Michigan University (school i go to) played Western Mich university which is a huge rivalry and they bring in like 60 extra officers and there were state cops EVERYWHERE, i had a feeling they would stop me for my "tint"/trying to get me for something else. anyway yeah i thought it would be a cool pic so i get my cell phone out since he cant see inside my car anyway lol. also the local paper publishes all of the police calls and such, there were 90 M.I.P.'s handed out that night lol and lke 75 public intox. i have 5% on the rear 3 windows and 20% on my front sides, in MI you can only have a 4" strip from the top on the side windows.

Unless you have a doctor's prescription for tint.

Very True,

Although....You are now limited to only driving that car, as you are considered to have a medical problem and require that tint. So, you must drive a car with tint. Same goes with other people driving your car, they wouldnt have a doctors note so, the car would then be illegal to them.

I went through this with my doc before I tinted the windows on my other car.

I am so glad the changed the law in Illinois. Now we can get 35% front and back. I have yet to see anyone pulled over for darker then that. They changed it about a year ago. It used to be nothing on the fronts.

You are techinically correct, however I do not have it on my driver's license like you are alluding to. As a matter of fact, at the Secretary of State, they would not put it on my driver's license. I simply carry the prescription in my wallet. If (when) I get (got) pulled over, I just show the prescrip. to the cop. I also keep copies in my other vehicles for if my wife is driving them. She can (and has) gotten out of a tint ticket in my Tahoe. Her car is tinted legally, BTW.

I can drive a car without tint, however, I get terrible migraines from the bright lights and the sun. You should see my house. The wife got tired of having all of the blinds and shades pulled whenever I was home, so we had every window in the house tinted very dark. Now she can have the windows open, and I don't have to endure as many headaches!

Speaking of Cops....I got a ticket last night for running a stop sign. First ticket EVER! I will be at least going for a informal appeal as I did not blow the stop sign with no regard for it at the ticket says, but I did a rolling stop to the stop sign at 1 am on a dead road. Hopefully at least letting them know I at least reacted to the sign will lessen the charge. And who knows, maybe the officer wont appear

Also, the time on the ticket was off by two hours.

I've only been pulled over in this car twice, 70 in a 45 work zone, no ticket , and exhibition of speed, again no ticket.

I have, however, gotten one ticket (in my RX-7), 69 in a 55, only I was going 75ish and the cop apparently didn't have a radar, the DA dismissed the ticket under the guise I behave for 6 months.
