kinda random brake question.
Any of you guys know if the GXP brakes (bonneville or grand prix) are a direct swap for SS guys? And anybody ever mess with the cobalt SS 4 piston brembos?

They should work. If you want my humble opinion and want performance brakes that will last a long time, I would go with a nice set of blanks with performance pads from Hawk, Brembo, or EBC. I have the slotted/drilled EBC set up and to be honest they are nice looking when I have my 22's on my car and offer more performance, but they also do wear faster than normal brakes and are more problem prone than standard brakes. Once again if your car is a daily driver, go with a nice set of blanks and performance pads. You will be more satisfied in the long run, take it from my experience.

Yea I know your prolly right but I'm still trying to swap out something bigger and better than the factory dual piston. Something a little different and still efficient

Yes I think the GXP stops better than the regular Grand Prix maybe its just me but I think it does. the GXP has 13'' rotors and a regular GP has 11'' rotors not sure if that makes a difference?

I was surprised to find out that my Super has 12.7" front discs.......just not the fancy red caliper and drill holes. The press sheet says they come from the Lucerne.

how many miles are on your car? i thought id seen on here that people had had theres cut or replaced under warranty because of premature warping and glazing and what not.
