P-0420 ok guys i just had my transmisson replaced, and now its running great but its throwing a P-0420 code. Do you think i need a new o2 sensor from letting it sit outta the exhuast for a while while they replaced the tranny???

Just a thought. Did they plug the harness back in? If so, it very well could be a bad O2 sensor. Do you have a cat? If you don't you need to tune that code out with a tuner. If you do have a cat and it is high flow some do throw this code.

P0420 wont set if one of the O2 sensors is unplugged, its not an O2 code, its a converter
efficiency code. So if you dont have a cat, or have a high flow cat, that could set it. Most of the aftermarket cats are made from inferior materials and never last. Ive seen some last a few days and set an efficiency code.
