I average 19.4 - and not to overstate the obvious but its a V8.
The V6 Fusion rental I had averaged 23.4, the SC Regal I owned averaged 24.5. Look at it like it's still cheaper to get 4 or 5 less MPG than having a $300+ / month car payment.
That's why with all of the gas price concerns almost all of the OEM's now are moving to turbo 4 and 6 cylinders with 6+ speed automatic powertrains.
V8's are going obsolete, like the big blocks.

Wow, some of the "stats" seem a little low?
My LS4 drive train swapped into a 1988 Fiero gets an average of 25 mpg in town and highway driving. That is calculated at the pump not the D.I.C. The D.I.C. says I average 21 or so, but it depends on the type of driving and how long I drive before I "clear the fields" so it can restart the calculations.
I can get (according to the dic) up to 30+mpg on the highway and in town it drops to under 12mpg. I only use DOD on the freeway, I drive around in town in 3rd gear to deactivate the DOD.
I saved about 3,000 miles worth of gas pump receipts to calculate the real MPG.
The drive train is stock with the only changes being done to the intake air box (replaced with a cone filter) and exhaust system to accommodate the swap. I also had a shop change a few things with HP tunes to take out the Tranny abuse codes and throttle cut off.
