+1 on this.... I feel that me and a more mechanically inclined friend can get this done. I am now considering doing this with my headers, putting a 3 inch exhaust, and getting tuned and leaving this car alone. (pending the eventual demise of my tranny .....)

LS6 TB is a cable operated TB, we have drive by wire. You'd have to replace the enitre accelerator pedal assembly too.

Not worth the effort, an adapter is the way to go. Besides, they're the same size, so no flow advantage to the LS6 one anyway.

I still wish we could figure the electronics out.

Well thank you for the lesson.
Agreed on it not being worth the effort then.

So does that leave our TB as a restriction?

Somewhat, but a 78mm TB will still support 400HP.

This was a ls6 intake that was modified right? Thought that I read that, but I am tired now so I am losing my mind. Is this mod step by step or are there any little quirks we need to know about?

I will snap a few more detailed pics for you, and include them in them this tread.

LS1/LS6 intake= same mods same install.

Its the EGR plug, and it is a freeze plug. Works great! Use some 3M yellow weatherstriping adhesive to seal. The stuff is rocks!
