Default If anybody cares... GXP's OEM tires are discontinued

Bridgestone is no longer making the Potenza RE05As or whatever are stock on our GXPs. I was on tirerack.com the other day and saw they only had a few sets left of the ones specific to our cars (and not Mercedes and other). If you're obsessive and love the tires for some reason, just wanted to let you know...

Perhaps Tire Rack just isn't carrying them anymore. Have you looked elsewhere?

No, I was only looking for pricing purposes because I had a screw in my tire and didn't know if it could be patched. Tirerack generally has the best price and the local GM dealership will match their price.

Their tires for the front didn't say what their specific application was and there were 2 or 3 different options, all of which were being discontinued. The ones that said they were specifically for Grand Prix GXP and G6 (the rear size) said they had only like 6 left. How the tires could possibly be different despite the same name, size, and ratings, I don't know...

It's a good thing. The RE050's are great tires, but very over priced.
