Default water pump fail again

Yup my water pump failed again in less than 3 months on Thursday while getting a retune. After going WOT from 30 -100 , I got to the light and started to smell like antifreeze, my tuner noticed it to , and the temp went slightly above the half mark. So we went back to the shop to check it out and sure enough it was the water pump. I had bought it at autozone about 3 months ago so it was under warranty. Yesterday I did the replacement and when I was trying to remove the water pump, man... did it give me hell, it wouldnt come off, here is a pic why.

Apparently the metal blades got unwelded. Crazy **** huh...Anyone experience something like this? I hope this is a product defective on the one it had, not on all the ones with the same brand
