Default Ls1 truck intake manifold

Hello i have a ls1 truck intake manifold with fuel rails 25317669 injectors and tb will this swap onto my ls4 (08 gp gxp) like the ls1/ls6 intakes do? It looks tall!!! what other modifications would it take to put it on and is it worth it? I have seen some tests where the truck intake manifold was better than the ls1 and compared to the ls6 until higher rpms.

ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED

Thanks Logan

If you have a regular truck intake with a 3 bolt TB, then it should bolt on. The alternator bracket would probably need to be modified. The fuel rail is for a return system and won’t work. The dbw 78mm truck TB won’t work either, and you’ll need some sort of TB adapter to run the LS4 TB. Oh and I’m not sure how much hood clearance the other cars have. On the GXP the hood won’t close with the hood insulation on.

my understanding is that the tall truck intakes are indeed better for low end torque... but even the ls1 intake takes the cakes with solid top end horsepower, and for the low cost of getting one, most would do the ls1 intake swap both on trucks and ls4 cars
