Default I installed the ZZP shift kit

It is a must if your planning on modifying your LS4. Im very happy with it. Under normal driving you cant even tell the car is shifting, half throttle you get a lil bit of a neck snap, and WOT it chirps the tires shifting into second. I did the install my self only problem was i didnt let it cool off long enough so that **** was HOTTT!!

Nothing wrong with zzp. I bought the zzp and it works great. My buddy bought the thrasher one and it was more complete looking. Both seem to work great.

ZZP knows **** about the LS4 vehicles. They specialize in the L67 & L36 3800 cars, but they claim to know about the LS4s, too. They've given some members on this board downright ignorant advice, like "We don't recommend trans coolers because they can leak." Also, their parts are designed for the V6 cars, and the one part I could find on their site for our cars is the proven-worthless throttle-body spacer. They don't even bother to research of develop stuff for the LS4, yet they'll gladly tell you what "works" for them.

I wouldn't buy a lock washer from these clowns.

^what about a flat washer? anyway I just had my tuner bump the line pressure and all the trans specs with Hptuners and the shifts are real nice and firm.

Do you guys all already have built tranny's?

I'm just a little concerned with making changes to these tranny's when they are as weak as they are.

The transmission isn't weak, per se. It is at (or slightly over) it's published torque limit unmodded, however, the vast majority of failures are due to issues in the valve body.

I have the TEP-modified valve body in my trans with the Transgo shift kit, and it's been fantastic with no issues, so far.

Ah good info right there, so it's not the typical burnt clutchs and servo issues from the 4L60's in the f-bods!!

Hell yeah, shift kit time Where are you guys buying yours from?

Right...We burn up clutches because the TCC shreds and wipes them out. This is due mostly to a factory converter relief valve that bleeds off at too high of a pressure.

Quick Reply: I installed the ZZP shift kit
