-2007 Impala SS
-58k at purchase in Nov. 2012, Now at 68k
-Original tranny running strong
-Front outter tie rods, front wheel hubs, still
have to figure out why the damn service
traction control, service break system, service
brake assist lights won't turn off (too cold
to work on the car now)
-Well, it's the wife's turn for a car next and
she's looking at a Caddy CTS, I still can't decide
what I'm getting next

My 2006 Monte SS had about 143,000 on it when I traded it in last month...

my new 2014 Camaro SS has 160 miles on it...

Wife's 2006 Equinox had about 130,000 miles on it when we traded that in a couple months ago...

and her new CTS has about 600 miles on it probably...

-2006 Monte Carlo SS
-32,000/109967
-Still on original. No problems.
-Regular maintenance
-I don't know... Despite its flaws I've never been this attached to a car. I might just buy a cheap truck and keep it as a project. Something custom, RWD conversion, even looked into swapping a Trailblazer SS AWD drivetrain into it. Figured I could put the years into it and maybe be able to take it out when I have my mid life crises.

Bought my 2006 Monte Carlo SS in Sept. 2009 with 52,275 miles. It turned 100,000 on my way to drop it off at storage for this winter and currently sits at 100,001 miles.

Typical repairs...wheel bearings, tie rods, ball joints, steering rack, rear struts, alternator, battery, radiator, power steering pump, camshaft position sensor. All covered under an extended warranty.

Original trans and still shifts great...for now lol.

This will probably be my last year with it as I only have 6 payments left and I am getting the itch for something different. Plus, the wife and I are expecting our first son in April and the whole 2 door thing is going to get old. Thinking about a G8 GT or possibly a Silverado.

I'm sure this sounds strang but being a machinist, I have put much consideration into reconfiguring the rear trunk area to hold another 5.3 FWD, having 2 engines. Not very practical but it would be a fun toy with 600 HP, relatively speaking minus the extra weight factor. I think it would not be that hard to synchronize the two engines but the transaxle shifts could prove difficult.

These things seem to run for quite a while as long as they are maintained decent.

Bought my 06 GXP in April with 92k miles. As of today I have 104k miles. It has been pretty reliable other than a dead battery, eec solenoid, and the oil press sensor went bad. I'm happy with it. I've adjusted my driving habits and I feel the trans will last indefinitely. Still plan on installing a trans cooler in the spring.

Been awhile sense I've posted, my mc is at 75k I only drive it maybe once every 2 weeks as I work from home and have several other vehicles more family friendly.original tranny having issues every now and then with front seal causeing loss of pressure when AT idle happens rarely, the car also lives eats and breaths at red line as I'm very hard on it when I do drive it and hold low gears when messing around
