if you are talking about the k&n set-up with cone filter, there is a mounting bracket for the ecm. the lower half of the air box i removed and is now sitting in the box the k&n intake came in on my garage bench...

Little hard to see but the ECU/TCU are mounted beside and inside (underneath) the cone

I just left the lower half of the factory air box there.It makes for a tight fight with the filter though. I don't want to cut it up or anything like that just in case i have to through it back on for warranty work.

You can never tell with the dealer. If I take it in for a trans issue they would probbably come back with some bs that the air filter allowed the engine to make to much power that ultimateley lead to the trans failure.

Why put a cone filter in the engine bay? It's just going to make it KR like crazy.

Well i bought the kit with the intentions of getting a 45* and running it into the fender well. Now i don't know as it is very tight i may just make my own box to seal it off form the engine bay.
