Default Heater Hoses Melted!

While replacing my spark plug on the GXP's rear bank (after 108,xxx) I found that my heater hoses had been resting on #6 coil causing them to almost melt through! It looks like the engine cover doesn't give them much of an option as far as placement though.. Anybody else seen/had this happen? Exhaust wrap on the coolant hoses is the only thing I can think of to keep it from happening again. Any ideas?

on the monte, those two black hoses go on TOP of the black engine cover, not underneath it...

but, I've had my engine cover removed for 5 years, and I have no issues with the hoses... but then again, they are not held down tightly against anything by the cover either, since I don't have one on there... heh...

yeah.. sounds like you (3800gtx) didn't have the hoses routed correctly.... they should be on TOP of the cover, not under it...
