Default Track time.

Been at the track all weekend for Norwalks no box bonanza weekend. Friday was rained out, and yesterday it rained until noon. We got one time trial before eliminations, and they cut it to 1/8th mile due to all the rain. My time trial was a 9.06 @ 79.9 mph with a horrible 2.25 60'. I didn't know what the track was going to do, so eased into it, but that sucker hooked when I eventually hit it. My 1/8 time with my best pass last year was a 9.02 @ 78.9 mph, and a 2.161 60'. So was right in the ballpark. My 1st round pass was a loss. I dialed a 9.00, but the sucker Freaking hooked with a 2.09, and went an 8.81 @ 80.8 mph. We figured that pass to be about a mid to high 13.60s run on the 1/4 mile. The da was down to 300 last night, it was amazing air. Today my time trial was horrible, I was the secind race on the track, and should have known it wouldn't hook. I blew the tires off the thing. I think I will invest in some draft radials next year, a better exhaust, and nodding my headlight for ram air instead of taking it out.

My mods for last nights pass were:

Cold air intake.
Exhaust cutout.
Headlight out.
Lew Tune.
Rear tires at 40 psi.
Fronts at 30 psi (stock)

Other than that, its all stock.

Anyone have any time slips with around a 8.81 1/8th M
Mile with comparable mods that actually went 1/4 mile that I can compare to?

13.6-13.7 ET easy, with those 60ft's.
Get some tires/spring blocks and hit a 1.8-1.9. You would be running 13.2-13.4

Nice, that's what I kind of figured. I might get some tires for next year, I have the cable mod, I just haven't used it. This weekend it was just so wet, then it could have rained at anytime, so i really didn't want to take it apart in the rain.

Oh ya, and I also got it down to a 8.76 @ 80.5 mph with a 2.05 60'. The track was hooking! Every time they called my round, I was the first there, and the track was freshly prepped, ao that helped.

I don't see why that wouldn't be at least a high 13.5 if you have some steam up top. IIRC when I ran 8.75 I had a 2.06 60 foot. Now get to a damn 1/4 mile track so we don't have to speculate what 1/4 mile you'd have!!!!!!!

LOL, I was at a 1/4 mile track, one of the best tracks in the country actually, aside from indy and charlotte. The problem was that because we had so much rain, and 400+ cars, there was supposed to be one full race for each day. Friday was completely rained out, and saturday we started at 3pm, so they went to 1/8th mile to get it done quicker. I will be going to another track this weekend, its supposed to be about a tenth off of Norwalk, but we will see.
