Did some painting..... Finished, added a couple more pics Over the years I've grown tired of the fake woodgrain in my car and finally did something about it.
I went to the junk yard the other day and bought the radio and shifter bezels to try out my idea. I've been wanting to do a flat black in my car and almost bought a vinyl kit, but the samples looked like **** so I bought some flat black paint instead.
Radio bezel woodgrain:
Radio bezel Flat Black:
Shifter bezel woodgrain:
Shifter bezel Flat Black:
Both of them:
Over all I'm very pleased with how they came out. They have about 5 or 6 heavy coats on them.
This is the Flat Black that I picked up from VatoZone:

Thanks! I just need to pull off the center piece and door pieces and hook those up.

I cringed when I decided I wanted to paint something!! I have not had much luck at making things look good when I get a spray can in my hand! This paint spreads very nicely though. The gloss black I bought(same brand) looked like ****.

Just curious but I thought all the SS impalas came with the silverish accents. All I have seen in person have it. Yet I have seen some online with the wood. Was it a option?

my mistake thought it was the other way around.
Really? dislike it that much? Im not a big fan of it but didnt think it looked bad enough to do something about it.
