Default ?s for the guys with L.E.D taillights

Im going to get them as a birthday gift to my self, but I have a few questions before i buy them. How are they holding up? All the L.E.D's working? Any moisture in the lenses? basically any faults at all? And if anyone has tinted ones are they still bright? thanks in advance

have had mine on my car for about 3 months now, through rain and hot weather they have held up well. the aren't tinted and have no faults yet. only thing i didnt like about them was that the reverse lights were the stock bulb.. so i ended up buying the 62LED bulbs for them and they look great! wicked bright!

If you mean the full assemblies, I've had mine for A LONG time, around 2 years, all diodes still work, no moisture, have been tinted and the shine through just fine. Which ones are you planning on getting?

Thanks for quick responses. I'm looking to get the red ones but plan on tinting them black.

I have a set on my Impala, FWIW. Had them on for about 3 months. Out of the box, one of the side-facing LEDs was burned out, but I've lost no others since. After heavy rains, no fogging or other issues.

The only thing I don't like is the ricer-style fast blinker, which I think is caused by the resistors being used.

Other than that, no complaints.

The load resistors are supposed to stop the hyperflashing. Maybe yours aren't working anymore or weren't installed correctly.

The load resistors came prewired into the lights, but I guess it is possible that they could be bad. Anyway to test?

Did any of you do any extra sealing to yours or just pop them on in? I had a set on my old Taurus SHO and they leaked like a Siv within a few months. I was quite disappointed but I really want a set for my GXP

Good to know I guess.

There's a seller on eBay (the one with the cheapest set) I've been trying to communicate with WRT warranty. Most only offer 60 days which, IMO, isn't enough for these.

I've been trying to get the name of the manufacturer of these tail lights, but the tool replying to the eBay messages isn't all there. Transcript available upon request.

The thing is, with a normal tail light, I can easily change out a bulb. With these, it isn't all that simple.

Hopefully the LEDs are good because LEDs tend to last longer then hologen bulbs I'm more worried about water getting inside the taillight. My oem passenger side taillight would "fog" up after I got a car wash thankfully the service guy at the dealer hooked me up with 2 new ones

Me, I got em off of Ebay. I don't remember the dealer but I'll see if I can find the info.

I have had mine on for well over 2 years with no issues or burnt out lights. I have the impala ss. To make a suggestion about the fast blink turn signals, the load resistors that come with it are junk and they do not work. I had to pick up some 50watt load resistor from vled to fix the fast blinking problem.. Whats happening is your car BCM is thinking your tail light turn signal are burned out b/c LED lights draw so little current.. So like most cars when you have a burned out turn signal bulb, it blinks fast to tell you that a bulb is shot. The resistors that come with the lights dont draw enough current or it just a junk resistor. If you pick up those resistors, it will draw 50watts which a normal bulb draws close to and store it into the resistor then you LED lights take what it needs from the resistor. This fools the BCM b/c it still drawing 50 watts. You connect them to your turn signal wire which you will have to find in your trunk. These are for the impala ss lights. Not sure about others if they have the same problem
