Default Boot style shifter?

Does anyone know if they make a boot style shifter for our cars? Honestly I'd rather change the whole setup, I think the silver throws it all off. Any ideas, links, personal experience?

Trailblazer SS shift may work. I have seen them in F-bodys before.

That isn't a bad idea but I like the stock **** personally. My idea was to keep the shift ****, have a leather boot, and your gear indicator smooth black (not pebbled like the rest of the console) and flush with everything instead of inset. Your gear indicators would remain red and would also light up with the rest of the gauges at night, with the addition of the "TAPshift" logo lighting up as well. I haven't really found anything like that. I'm fairly handy with materials and tools (I'm a commercial HVAC installer) so worst come to worst I could fab something up, but I don't know where to start- I can replace parts on a car all day long but when it comes to custom fabbing I'm in the dark. Fiberglass? Plastic? Spray painting the stock one? If I were to use the OEM one, how difficult would it be to modify it to a flush mount install? Any ideas on how to fasten it, as well? Ideas/comments/suggestions would be most appreciated.

Your best bet is to paint/modify the existing "plate" and install a universal black shifter boot then. Shouldn't be too difficult, just a bit of time.

The stock shifter is pretty ugly.
