Default Just to keep you guys in the loop about my car

I still havent gotten it back. After a huge amount of problems with getting the throttle body to work properly they ran into problems getting the gears to work right. He went to go turn the car on, move it and wash it and it started misfiring.....

Well apparently a pin walked out of the rocker and got lodged in the cylinder. So now they are rebuilding my brand new fully built engine....that i just got fully built....

and thats where i am at

They should definately stand behind their original build and cover the repair. I'd also look into getting it tuned elsewhere. Reprogramming for different gears involves typing in a number and pressing go.

They are saying that despite having the engine completely rebuilt from the ground up...they never replaced the lifters or rockers. And i thought they were covering it but they just emailed me today and said they arent.

Small claims court, $25 in Rochester to file a suit. Plus some fee to have them served. Do that and hopefully they will just repair it.

So how did a pin get from the rocker arm (valve cover area) get inside the combustion chamber (ingested in the intake manifold.)

I could see it falling down into the oil pan and doing other sorts of damage, but I see no way it could get into the combustion chamber without human error involved. Or it wasn't from the rocker, but instead some debris from the throttle body work.

I don't see anything from the lifters making its way into the combustion chamber either.....sounds dishonest....

Something would have to either been assembled with it in there or injested thru intake.
