Default Ls1 intake no egr

Found one for sale but like title says, no egr. Is that something I need with it? Searched but no helpful results.

I read up on here that the ls1 put up better numbers matched with a cam. That's why I was looking at this. I originally was gonna go ls6. Can anybody confirm for sure?

Ls1 is fine. Look at the flow numbers and the tpis dyno numbers I posted in the sticky, and decide for yourself. Keep in mind that you have a 5.3 and not a 5.7 when choosing.

I believe that what the people here are trying to say is this; Yes, this manifold should work for the swap. You will just need to use a freeze plug to fill in the EGR hole.

A non egr intake is fine. You won't need to plug it
