Dip stick oil change?

Dip stick oil change?
I've never heard of the dip stick oil change method, so I need some opinions please. I discovered it today through the deal HERE on a device that does it. If the deal is dead by the time you see this, there is another one HERE for reference. I then found a basic how-to on the process HERE. The benefit to this, is I don't have to climb under the car. My main question, is can I get to the oil filter without jacking the car up? This is on a Grand Prix GXP, by the way. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yeah, I had one of those for my boat. The electric ones are kind of junky. Mine intermittently worked at best and finally got to the point where it wouldn't suction after about two years of use. In the boating world you typically only change the oil once a year (in the fall) so that means I only used it a couple times.
The one I use now is just like this one:

It operates on vacuum suction that is achieved with a hand pump. Less moving parts to break and I don't need electricity. Just be sure your oil is hot or it will take forever to pull it out. Even a that it is still not really a fast process.

lol thanks for the replies! I assumed I would get responses like this, but I just wanted to be sure. I've never changed oil, so I'll do my research, and change the oil the proper way.
