Default Finished the ls1 swap.

Finished my swap today, all in all about 6 hours of work. worth every penny. it pulls hard as hell up time and the part throttle is strong from jump street. ill be retuned tomorrow and hitting the track wednesday night, im looking for a 105 mph trap from 102 so we shall see. there was alot of things not in the write up that would have been useful but im pretty mechanical so it wasnt an issue. if anyone has any questions on there swap let me know if i could help out. heres the engine bay pic...

I had to unbolt one of my coil packs to clear the new fuel rail location...did you have to do this as well. And I also had to turn the fuel line from the car upside down and turned o make it to the rail...is this how you do yours?

Yes. Although, I did not mention the coil, I did post pics of the fuel line location. The swap is not ment for people who are not mechanincally inclined.
I also trimmed the return line going into the reservoir, and used a piece of
3/8" hose that goes up over the fuel rail, and into the the return. The hose clamp that secures the feed hose (to the pump) was rotated away from the back of the intake manifold.

Coolant lines were pushed downward to clear the intake slightly.

Because I was able to acquire this entire swap for 300 dollars....thanks 1cleansupersport! If i find someone selling an ls6 mani cheap I will swap it out for still less thank what the swap would normaly cost....the ls1 injectors and rail work with the ls6 mani right?

There's a lot more wrong with an ls4 mani than the neck too....the columns in the center are huge...runners to shallow....some large baffle across the top...and my uncle will be porting this ls1 mani. That's probably gonna get me close to the ls6 gains minus the cost.

Untuned I ran 13.8 at 101.78 with a 2.16 60 ft...its missing some power due to no tune. And it was 80 degrees high humidity. And I'm on street tires...hard tires. I just walk off the line.

leaving a LOT on the table...but your 60ft isn't bad on hard street tires.

i ran a 13.82 @ 101.7 on a 2.07 60ft with rikken raptors at about 15psi. Mods were CAI, Hogan full 3" catless DP and a custom 3" into dual 3" catback.

So the Retune came back 4 percent rich. Anyone venture to guess how much power that was costing me?

Yeah...when I first did the swap it would downshift hard but flatten out. Now it pulls hard through 6200 rpms.
