PS Pump Still Whining after replacement??
Had a whine on the front of the motor. With the use of a screwdriver to listen to the power steering pump and the alternator, I narrowed it down to the power steering pump. I replaced it with a new AC Delco pump and the damn thing still whines.
Any Ideas? I bled the system according to GM's procedure. It operates fine.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Would the line be sucking air in then? I can't imagine a leak causing the ungodly whine this thing has.
I had the recall done 2 years ago, but i'll take a look at the line.

I would assume that air is getting into your lines from somewhere. That would be a good way to find out, if not put soapy water on your lines and have somebody else turn the wheel, maybe youll find your problem.

My guess is it's a bad pump OR like others have said, maybe it's a leak somewhere
