Turbo Time!!!

Turbo Time!!!
Well I've decided to join the turbo club. I was going to run N/A but my buddy and I were doing some number crunching and it's more cost effective per hp for the turbo kit. In the process of saving up for it as we speak so this project won't be finished till spring time-ish. Also going to have my tuner make me a tune for the motor and see if I can have him do a tune with the nitrous too for s***s and giggles. End goal is 10's. Wish me luck!!

So here's an update..have just about enough saved up for the cartuning turbo kit but am saving up for other goodies to go along with it..anyone running the cartuning turbo have any recommendations as to what you have done to max the performance of your kit...or install a bigger turbo

Because your forcing more air I would definitely make sure you have the intake mani swapped with 1.9 rockers. And a cam would help put all that air to use. Your not gonna max out that turbo. Most people only have the boost up to 8-10 pounds. That turbo is capable of a little more than that.

If you have E85 readily available I would ditch the meth and run E85. I've never ran the meth and I'm only at 6psi, but when I switched to E85 it made a very noticeable difference.

I've been running the CarTuning setup for a couple of years now on my 06 Impala-Only engine mods are a DOD delete with LS7 lifters and heavier valve springs.Best times have been 11.9 @ 119 mph-The real limiting factors I have found are traction and keeping the trans together. The kit itself gives lots of power!

I'm hoping to run 10 psi on E85 after hearing all the good things Brian has to say about it, and the research I have done. Won't ever have to worry about the meth failing.

Been running 10-12 lbs boost on 94 octane pump gas[E85 isnt available here] with a good octane boost, M/T 28x11.5x16 ET Streets, no suspension mods yet but will be putting in some adjustable struts and a GM Performance limited slip unit this winter.

My built trans may have to come sooner than later. The car almost refuses to go into OD. It takes about 2 mins cruising at the same speedd for it finally to go into OD.
