Thumbs up Getting my car Plasti Dipped what color?

In the spring I am going to get my car plasti dipped. I just have to buy the paint and the shops spraying it for me. Thats a big discount to get it done right.

Now if you don't like the idea whatever..I been wanting to try this for a long time. Question is..what color? my car is the color in the sig. Its the arctic white.

Was thinking of just doing a matte white..to possibly do the pearlizer enhancer on it in the future. It gives it that caddy pearl look to the paint.

But also seen the blue colors that really are nice..or just a matte black...just not sure what I want to do.

Like i said..if your nto a fan its cool but for the price of 4 gallons of paint why not try it.

So if I was goign to go wild..color and possibly pics of cars you seen dipped in that color..especially 4 door cars..

Seen too many ricers with matte black plasti dip and it just looks terrible. I'd say white or blue.

Thats because to many use the rattle cans and not a sprayer..unless your really good with a can you will not lay it down the right way.

I say you would be money ahead if you leave it alone. Any thing other than white will look like *** as soon as you open the door.

If you ever plan on getting rid of the car I wouldn't bother with it. It will kill the resale value of your car. But if you end up doing it I would go with something besides white. Just because it seems like a waste to kill resale value and keep it basically the same color.

I've always been of mineral gray/gunmetal or even a nice dark blue.

How expensive would it be to go the traditional paint route? You'd have a lot more color options. Will plasti-dip affect the finish if/when you remove it?

Have you considered vinyl wrap? I seen a truck awhile back in winter camo and it looked pretty damn sharp. I say vinyl wrap the car and plastic dip the rims flat black.

You know it peels right off when you want to remove it..

A regular paint job is thousands..and perm. where plastidip is not and it does not do anything to the paint at all.

vinyl is expensive and if it tears it has to be redone. That is costly too.

Plasti Dipping the car is a fraction of what it would cost to paint a car or even vinyl wrapping it. Though its closer to wrapping the car as it just peels off.

2nd is im just paying for the plasti dip the guys going to spray the car for me.
