Default A/C control

Hey all, I seen a good deal on ebay for the newer silverado and tahoe etc A/C control. Has anybody tried to swap from our "cheaper looking" one to these? They look like they would fit right up, and they have similar looking plugs in the backside. Thanks for any advice!

I like youre thinking however the tahoe unit lights up in green on the display which would look very weird in a all red light setup.

I have been curious to find out, I don't have to worry about the colors not matching for I have an aftermarket cd player!

From what my research shows... You would need to purchase 11 different sensors and take your car to the dealer to get the BCM reconfiged, also have to rewire in about 6 to 14 wires to a new harness. Not to mention "alter" the HVAC control itself. It would be one of a kind, but that is alot of work and money for something that has never been done before. If anybody wants to try it here is where my research stopped:

Don't get me wrong, I would love to this, but its sorta..... "above my head" so to speak.
