on my 2008 ss impala, i use the factory pf/48.i have also used the mobil one filter\a little more oil to top off. i also have a 2007 zo6 corvette. i forgot the number but went with the new one for zo6/zr1.since doing this no more clicking at start up or anytime ! my question is maybe this flter will be ok for our cars ? my reasoning for this both my cars came with the pf/48.

The old filter in the vette likely had a bad drainback valve in it.

PF63 is the long version of PF48. At least that is what our Equinox went to. Came from the factory with a PF48 but PF63 was supposed to be used when it became readily available.
