Default replacing pcm and bcm

So the dealer said my bcm is shooting out high voltage and my pcm has a internal malfunction. ... anyone ever have these happen and do they both need to be programmed or is the dealer bsing me

Ask them what codes it's putting out, do you have check engine light on?

Codes are c0550 p0573 c0876

Those codes have been seen before in that combination and they ended up being caused by a improper /faulty battery current sensor. Some of them have burnt a hole in themselves. there is a TSB somewhere, it details that the wrong P/N current sensor was installed on some cars.

Is that the black plug that goes over the negative wire by the batter

Purple haze that is the circular sensor on the cable. I have had both of mine replaced. First was the ecm, covered under warranty. The bcm wasn't and ran bout 6/700 installed by the dealer. No check engine lights have ever came on in my car when ever something was wrong with it.
