Default "Dual" to Single exhaust

Think there would be any harm in going from our dual split stock exhaust to a single cat-back system? Having the dual exit looks cool, but i can't imagine flow being much more than a single system. Not to mention less rear weight.

in theory the less bends, splits, and pipe the better but really performance wise you wont see a difference besides the weight like you said.
what i did to keep dual tips, and cut some weight was run a single in dual out muffler in place of the y.
