Default Suspension Bushings

I think this thread would be great for others looking for bushings in the future. But before I can complete this, I need some info about the lateral link bushings.

Are they serviceable? Does anyone have part numbers for aftermarket but OEM replacement bushings or would I have to call the dealer?

I found some "track bar bushings" on RockAuto but I wasn't sure.

Also, for the trailing arm bushings, why are there no bushings for "FE4?"

At any rate, here's what I have come up with so far. After shipping, RockAuto was the cheapest I've found. Cheaper than eBay, Amazon, and the local parts stores. EDIT: Just check around as prices fluctuate.

2005-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP:

Front:

MOOG K5331 - Front Lower Ball Joint
Moog K200787 - Front Lower Control Arm Bushing - Front Arm to Frame (Problem Solver)
Moog K80778 - Front Lower Control Arm Bushing - Rear Position (Problem Solver)

Alternatively:
MOOG CK620675 - Problem Solver Lower Control Arm with Ball Joint and Bushings (Left)
MOOG CK620676 - Problem Solver Lower Control Arm with Ball Joint and Bushings (Right)

Moog K80812 - Front Sway Bar Bushing (2 per kit - 0.80"/20mm/13/16")
Moog K80852 - Front Sway Bar Link Kit (GXP and Super only since it attaches to the strut)
Monroe 902973 - Front strut Mount (includes bearing)
Moog K5349 - Front Lower Coil Spring Insulator
GM 22181807 - Front Upper Coil Spring Insulator

Rear:

Raybestos 5501688 - Rear Sway Bar Bushing (2 per kit)
Moog K6662 - Rear Sway Bar Link Kit
Moog K200102 - Rear Trailing Arm Bushing - Rear Position
Moog K200103 - Rear Trailing Arm Bushing - Front Position
Moog K660275 - Rear Forward Lateral Link or ACDelco 45G36014 or Raybestos 576-2114 - They're all the same part, so shop by availability and/or price and/or warranty.
Moog K660276 - Rear Rearward Lateral Link (adjustable) or ACDelco 45G36010 or Raybestos 576-2115 - They're all the same part, so shop by availability and/or price and/or warranty.
Monroe 902968 - Rear Passenger Side Strut Mount
Monroe 902969 - Rear Driver Side Strut Mount
Moog K5350 - Rear Lower Coil Spring Insulator

The boxed Trailing arms are shared in between wbody platforms. So you won't find a fe4 variant. Also iirc mevotech sway bar end links are thicker and better than the moogs were. Also you can buy whole control arms for around 40-50 bucks a arm. You can bother with bushings but..save you're self the time. You can also put in a poly horizontal bushing in the control arm available from Zzp.

Also the Monroe strut mounts are the only ones that have indicators on the wedge for a fool proof assembly of the strut mount.

Since energy suspension makes greasable sway bar bushings I would use those for longer service life.

Thanks for the reply.

As for the sway bar end links, I only listed Moog because most of the threads on here list it as being better than OEM; 08RedSS measured them in his suspension thread. I wasn't aware the Mevotechs were thicker. I'd hate to be the guinea pig for that.

As for polyurethane, I'm trying to avoid that due to the harsh ride quality and my control arms are looking good. But that's good to know that they're that "cheap."

And yes I noticed that about the Monroe rear strut mounts.

I'm currently chasing some clunking noises and since the car has over 130,000 miles, I figure it's time to replace a while bunch of stuff. The greaseable bushings look good but I'm worried about harshness in the rear. I'll see when what happens when the Raybestos come in.

Get the Moog "problem solver" control arms from RockAuto - they have better front bushing, new ball joint & rear bushing for @$100.

Can someone with the Moog front and rear end links please measure them?

I would really hate to have to order both the Mevotechs and the Moogs.

I changed out my sway bar bushings last week.

I did run into this nasty problem where I guess I broke the weld while trying to loosen the bolt.

Some vice clamps helped me out for now but I'll eventually have to get it welded again.

That bushing is way to tall for the factory clamshell.

It's the Moog replacement part and torques down just fine.

I also compared it to the OEM bushing and they were of the same height.

I get it man but how did the clamshell end up so deformed or is that just the pic mine lay flat on the subframe surface.

I have no idea. Both (driver and passenger side) of them are like that.

I was more worried about that "nut" that broke free.

Mevotech sway bar end links are the same thickness as the Moog problem solvers: 0.5"

The OEM links are 0.3" in diameter.

I'll be returning the Mevotechs since I like Moog's problem solver warranty.

The boxed ones are for the GMPP/GXP/Police Package. They are different from the FE1/FE2 trailing arms. But are all of the bushings the same?

I ask because both RockAuto and Amazon clearly state "Except Special Handling suspension"/"Exc. Special Handling susp." respectively when shopping for the Moog K200102 and K200103 bushings.

I'm in need of both control arms in the front, as well as the front sway bar, 2 bushings, and possibly both the cast pieces that houses the actual bushing... mine look bent.

Are the only tube style control arms the ones ZPP sells for $500?
http://zzperformance.com/3800/suspen...for-wbody.html

Has anyone here on a GXP used those yet? I understand that in order to do so on a GXP I have to buy what they call "an older style" sway bar kit... this it looks like to me...
http://zzperformance.com/3800/suspen...-sway-bar.html

what's with the one customer feedback comment on the ZZP page? Does anyone own these LCA?

Thats just the sway bar bushing bracket, it probably bends from the factory rubber bushings flexing and coming right out as yours are. New Moog poly bushings and tighten it down and forget it. I wouldn't replace that bracket, but Dorman probably makes something with the crap rubber bushing included.
