There is a sticky on the whole install if your car is stock the only mod will be some welding on the downpipe and doug thorly or obx

Obx is much cheaper and ive heard some good things about them. 900$+ just seems insane to me for headers. Especially if youre not going to do heavy modding, then go obx IMO

Obx are direct copies of dt's only difference is ceramic coated vs non coated.

I just installed obx headers on my monte. I love them. Sounds so badass now. Only modification was the weld and upstream o2 extended.

So when adding headers you really don't need to do anything else but just headers right. I know sometimes when you add or upgrade things you have to add something else lol and what's the cost of the obx

Nope nothing extra other than extending your o2. I did plugs and wires while it was all apart. The obx headers run 470ish through best offer. Well worth it too. My setup sounds damn good now.

Without other basic and more involved key mods..air intake, DP, Ls1/2/6 intake manifold, TB etc.. headers on these small LS engines will lose you a lot of torque down low but deliver good hp in the upper end unless you have a TEP trans with a 3.29 or 3.69 final drive ratio. Headers alone, waste of $$. Unless you are just going for sound and have a huge loud catback as well.

the only way I really feel a loss in low end torque is if my cutout is open. Other than that it doesn't seem like I have lost much. I would have liked to get a dyno before install and then do another after install and a new tune.

Tourqe loss isn't the proper terminology its more like power band shift. Instead of the off the gun response you once get you now feel more have wayyyy better mid range and top end

Yeah that makes sense. It for sure doesn't hurt they have plenty of torque of the line and it pulls harder up high. Which I actually find more useful. I can't wait to do an intake manifold swap to really liven the car up
