GXP muffler which one??
Okay so I know that both of these might not be the BEST sounding but I am a high school student with limited cash. Im looking at making my car louder and I'm looking at either glasspacks or cherry bomb extreme single chamber mufflers. What are the pros and cons of each one and what one would you guys choose?

I personally think its all opinion but you really are not going to gain or loose that much in either direction. Your just going to end up with a louder car. As long as whatever you decide isnt 1 inch diameter and super restrictive, Pick your Poisen

i have Flow master 40's , i didnt like them at all they sounded almost exactly like stock only slightly louder. I went with an Electric exhaust cutout, Much better
Thts Youtube video i made several years ago , sounds much better in person , camera was junky and rev limit was @ 3k

Your question is pretty subjective. I prefer my gxp the way it is now but some ppl have expressed their distaste, others really like it.
I hacked my mufflers off right at the Y pipe under the trunk, that was because they were rusted but it sounded pretty good, drove it like that for a month and wanted it louder.
Then i cut my cat out, that made a huge difference. It's so sweet sounding imo but it's loud like a Harley or something when u fire it up early AM for work it definitely sets you up for a nice day.

I found the glasspacks sounded real nasty on my 85 Sierra, but I wouldn't want it on a newer vehicle. On my 00' Sierra (with the 5.3) I had Flowmaster Super 44's and it was nice, not too raspy but definitly made people look if you got on it. I didn't get them for my GXP this time just because I find that these high compression 5.3's sound different than the trucks.
If you don't mind raspy and hot-roddish I'd say the glasspacks would be good cause they're cheap.

Thanks guys. I was leaning towards cherry bomb extremes because I hear that glasspacks only last for a short time until the packing blows out and then sounds terrible.
