I have a 06 Grand Prix gxp and I try to program a key fob with the tech ll and it won't wont it gives the code b3101 don't know what that problem is can someone help me out please

B3101 security system is in learn mode.

are you using a already learned key (master) or you may have activated the security system prior to connecting the tech2

I haven't got a new key , just a new key fob cause when I got the car the person I got it from dudbt give me one

Verify that you can access the RCLR module and it works... first and that it has the proper calibration ID.

then

With the tech 2 clear all codes in all modules, parking brake set and all doors, hood, trunk closed. Turn key to ON position and verify security light comes on and goes off then hook up the tech 2 and try the procedure again.

When I turn key to on there is no security light that comes on.
