Default Trans lines on 2006 GXP

I've just spent the last two hours reading post and articles on the 4t65e transmission in my 2006 GXP. I read one that said the return line is at the top of the radiator and others that said its the bottom line. If I'm reading this right the return line is the one you want to plumb your trans cooler in. So which one is the return line?

Run standalone man Mississippi is never that cold. What kind of cooler are you going with, and yes top is return.

Using the factory cooler is counter productive. Use the proper size bar plate style trans cooler and never have to worry about it again

Is to late to return it? While it will defiantly help your money is better spent on a bar plate style trans cooler

you can buy the ready made kits with instructions from triple edge performance, they sell 3 different kinds, one that is inline with the radiator cooler and the others are independent, a little pricey, but it pays in the long run, easy installation, all earls AN fittings and SS hose.

You can do way better for cheaper on the cooler it doesn't have to be from tep to do the same or better job. I'm doing the same as guys who spent almost 300 for a trans cooler with a junkyard oil cooler. Just saying keep youR mind open to other possibilities especially if your budget is tighr

If you use the stand alone kit, do you just plug the threaded connectors where the old factory trans lines went to the radiator?

Now, how exactly will a cooler leak all the time with no fluid.

There is still residual fluid in the trans cooler, it will constantly drip out unless you flush it out clean.

That's exactly what I did. I just ordered the kit from TEP. A lot less headache for me.

Finally. I don't know why people feel like a glorified trans cooler with ss lines is worth 300 bucks when you can easily do it youreself with similar results
