Not sure really, something doesn't seem right but different years have variances. I would hope someone with an 06 could post some pics what theirs looks like in both areas. Something could have been changed at some point. I guess just plug it as suggested.

I checked it with a light and small screwdriver and it seems like it's sealed off. I mentioned in an earlier post that I drove it 250 miles home and it ran like a champ. I think I'll still seal it with something. Hi-temp silicone maybe?

There is no way that's just a open hole. It would be a huge vaccum leak.

As I mentioned earlier 05 06 have map sensor behind the throttle body while 07 09 have them on top of the manifold

So do you think his intake was replaced and this intake is from an 07/08?

That's possible . So if it is aftermarket that would involve drilling out the port in the middle? Is that common? Doesn't sound like his is open as he would have a major issue if it was.
Edit: I'm not suggesting he move anything, just trying to figure why it has both.
