Default Tranny issue again

I lost 3rd gear about 2 months ago I've been on this tranny for about 2 weeks. I haven't lost any gears and the car still shifts fine just makes makes some kinda clattering noise above 3k rpm when it makes that noise it kinda shakes the car anyone ever heard of this? I can drive it under 3k rpm and never make a noise

Wow that sucks. WTF is up with that transmission. How many times now has it been back and forth to TEP? I don't have the answer for your problem, does it do this in all gears above 3k? Can you put the car safely on jack stands and try to rule out anything else such as cv joints or wheel bearings while trying to pinpoint the noise is transmission related?

It has tep parts not built by them this the 4th time it was working great this time. Idk kinda getting tired of this car but I took it to the shop it's definitely coming from the tranny

Are you doing all the R&R? Has all the work been done by the same transmission shop?

If the same transmission shop has done all the work, I would say do not bring it back there. Finding a decent shop you can trust is difficult, I am in that process right now. These transmissions are not that strong, unless fully prepped with the bigger shafts and chains and the rest. If you are abusing the car without these parts, then this most likely will always be the result. Not saying you are, you didn't say what TEP parts are in there . This stupid transmission is the reason I have never modified the car, too many stories just like this. Your car is really nice, lots of hard work into it and it shows. Good luck and post back what your resolution is.

So then its poor work by the shop, parts are not the issue then. If it was me I would not bring it back to them.

Wow, I'm kinda surprised they would honor a warranty with car as modified as yours is. I guess just keep the pressure on, tell them to go thru the transmission and fully inspect every component. Sucks, but at least it isn't your dime this time.

I drove the car today just about 3 blocks to the store and it still has all the pulling power and hits all gears just makes that chattering noise and has a lil vibration too I kinda think it may be the cv axle what is the best way to test if the cv axle is bad. It doesn't make any noise when turning just thinking but will anything in the tranNY make the car vibrate?
