Default So I finally started my LS6 intake swap and other mods...

Thought I would post a bit of what I started today. LS6 injectors (manually cleaned them and re-sealed them) and cleaned and sanded the LS6 fuel rail. Prime tomorrow, paint after. Other mods to follow, all parts are now accounted for. Headers, 1.8 roller tip rockers, beehive valve springs, valve seals of course, intake swap with LS6 rails and injectors and I already have a Diablo Trinity and 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust, x-pipe and flow masters and of course air intake. Check out the pics of the injector cleaning, pretty neat.

LS6 injectors, 12volt power supply, connectors, and speaker wire. Manually clean injectors? Seems legit.

Wired up the old harness connector to the power supply.

Carb cleaner, power, and we have spray! Awesome.

Finished for tonight. Cleaned the rail up and installed top and bottom and orings. More to come tomorrow!

You're going to want to reuse your stock injectors with some top hats on or another shorty style injector. Those LS6 injectors are from the e40 PCM and have missing tables that the e67 PCM in 07+ LS4s have. I'm running top hats from FIC with some 50lb injectors from newer 6.0s.

So, can I use the stock injectors and keep the ls6 rail to cut down on the modifying?

I had heard conflicting things about the injectors working and not working. Does anyone have the height adapters?

Get the top hats and they won't affect the spray pattern at all since they sit between the injector and the rail. I forget which size I got. But I'm running them with a LS6 fuel rail and a FAST 92 (should be the same as a LS6 IM for sizing). I've had zero issues with mine.

Heres the data. For the ls6 inectors. Has all the data interpolated for use in newer ecms.

They work just fine.

Good job. After all that work to clean them it would be a shame not to be able to use them.

Also the ls1/6injector is not a e40 pcm injector either. The good thing is it will fire up and drive to your tuner without a tune. Since we have pretty much identical flow rates with the exception being some short pulse adder and ign offsett changes. Otherwise you will be fine.

All these are are conversions for IFR. You're missing multiple other tables to get the injectors working properly.

The LS6 injectors I called an e40 injector because they were never used on a vehicle with a newer PCM. Therefore there was never any data on them to fill in the tables correctly. Anything that is out there right now would just be guess work. And the first thing to getting your tune correct is fuel. Fuel is a constant where airflow is the variable. I don't know why you'd want to guess on anything fuel related.
