Default Battery issues...

So I have a couple questions for you audio freaks that have upgraded your system with the big 3 or just even simple upgrades. About a week ago my car kept dying out and I noticed the battery terminals had corison all the way in, so I tried using one of the splicer kits from autozone but I hate the fact it takes a 4g wire to
maybe a 8g and I got the error of service battery, probably due to a lose negative wire.

Anyway I'm going to go back and reinstall stuff but has anyone
1- upgraded the wire from the fuse box to the positive battery wire? Looks a bit small

2- upgraded the battery ground wire cause it looks tiny compared to the others.

3- used a fuse between the negative or positive wire connections between the battery? Such as making the negative wire a bit longer using the fuse box cause it's such a pita to connect to the battery

4- remounted the ground wire to the chassis anywhere else?

This is for a 2007 Monte Carlo ss. Opinions please?
