Default Who's gonna jump ship?

I thought it would be fun to ask this and just BS about it for a while.

As we all know GM has added more fun cars to our table to play. theres the new Pontiac G8/ImpSS/Camaro/new restyled GTO if any of you are trading or selling your guyses LS4s and jumping in to one of these which one would it be and why? Maybe I'm gonna miss you guys here..lol. I'm all hyped up to see the new GTOs, keeping my fingers crossed for the convertable.

If I sell my car it's for the new Camero. Hopefully the CDN dollar is still kicking *** and I will buy the car down south.

Well if i would go GM again it would be the camaro. But i'm going for the challenger because there will not be any lower models on the road. Only sold in performance packages and something diffrent then GM. I'm disappointed in GM plastering SS on crappy cars.

Out of the ones you listed only the G8 and Camaro are a sure thing. Out of those I'd take the G8 because I don't want a 2 door car. However I doubt I'd get another gas hog after the Imp SS. Kinda getting old eatin up $3.25 premium gas at 12.4mpg haha.

12.4 mpg?!? daaaaamn! Thankfully my GXP gets 18 mpg mixed driving.

I'll probably jump ship in 2009 for the G8 GXP. Hopefully it will have the LS3 in it. I need a roomy car for the wife and kids but I'm not ready to give up my fun cars.

I'd trade it in only if a newer Monte Ever shows up. Other than that I am looking for a 4th gen monte to Build from the ground up with either 350 or 454.
If I never get to doing that my car will be paid off in 3 years so I'll keep as a DD and buy a hot new toy.

That 12.4 is 100% around town driving. Unfortunately the only time I really do highway driving is during the summer and do virtually none the other 8 months of the year.

That is exactly why I'm going with the GTO, there will be no such thing as a v6 GTO any GTO you see on the street you know will be packing a nice healthy v8.

Smart move with your car, I got 0% interest and it would dumb to trade it in its getting paid off and I'm getting the GTO..........then my wife and I can settle with our issues and drag race on the local track 5mi down the road.lol.

Only if you have a deep pocket you know those would set you back about 45k but there gonna be impressive.

Man 12.4 All city thats bad. I tested my city which is all back roads with a lot of hills and a lot of traffic lights. I got 15 for week with no hway. Mixed I get 17.5 - 18.5 depending on how I drive
By the way I am not too far from you. I am in the Upper Darby/Havertown area in PA.

I'm considering a G8 once they come out in stick...but I'm really waiting for a UTE...I hope it comes out. If I stay with the monte, it'll go turbo!

Yea not too far at all. My city driving is basically around town driving with a traffic light or stop sign every other block haha. So it's alllll stop and go which sucks. Doesn't help matters that I like hearing the engine During the summer on weekends I do about 70% highway 30% highway and then I end up around 22 with that mix. When I first got the car for the first 2 months I was using only 89 octane. After that I switched to 93 and switched to synthetic oil and it seems to have gone steadily down since then which is weird. Probably just coincidental though.

nah, keepin' the little car for a couple hundred thousand miles. Got it because I have always had good luck with small block Chevy's and the front wheel drive works for me in the snow as a dd. My LT1 Caprice is a handful to drive in the fog, much less more solid precipitation. Have always (until recently) had a toy car, Will go LS2 GTO (depending on deal) or C6 ragtop (which is the one I really want.) next Summer or Summer after that.

I'd get a G8 if I could get a good trade in price on the Monte, but I doubt it.

I saw a Lumina SS maybe about a month ago came up from behind me and looked like a Cobalt from the front and a GTO from the back, didn't seem too fast though. It had a manufacture plate on it. Wonder if GM will ever bring it to the states.

I'am seriously thinking about the new Malibu. I have owned a 68 goat,Trans Am's-3,Formula 400 Firebird, IROC's-3, Z24, Z26, Z34, Monte SS. I'am 54 so maybe it's time to grow up and buy a 4door, besides I really like the look,6 speed trans with paddle shifters, and the 3.6 VVT V6 will do.
