Your car isn't your Grandpa's, it's more like your Dad's!!!
(kidding) Congrats on the purchase @ 19 ... the nice thing about having a car like that is the police don't look at it as much.
I'm going to say "no" to the hood; the design theme doesn't match like Nacho said. Not to mention the rounded hood scoop doesn't get pulled in by any other lines on the car.
There is a sweet a$$ hood around that some of the GXP guys have that reminds me of the CTS-VR:

since the airbox/filter/intake end is up behind the driver's headlight, what do you have that scoop sitting on - and does it really do anything??
or did you just mount it to the underside of the hood for the shaker look, and it doesn't do anything??

I like the Trans Am hood scoop. Hell the GXP already has the same period fender vents, why not the hood scoop. Besides that hood scoop back on the 77 to 79 or 80 TA's wasn't functional either. You should get some lettering that says T/A 5.3. The lettering was a diff style every year Pontiac used that hood scoop, just pick one. Remember, back then when it was on the T/A's it said 6.6 liter (low performance) or T/A 6.6 (high for back then performance).
