Default Hydraulic Rollers How High Are You Spinning Them

I did not want to hi-jack Jame's thread. I would like to know how high people are spinning their hydraulic roller cams and the componets to get there. I might be looking at the low 7000's on my next build.

I bought the LS7 lifters. Using AFR 195 heads with 155/410 on the springs. Going to use their rev kit for insurance.

The AFR rev kit by desighn rubbs and putts aluminum shavings into your oil

Just ask how many of the fast guys really use them

So "been there done that" is experiance of being there and then finding the problem and "tossed that crap" as in the garbage can they went into

7500-7800 Comp R's with AFR rev kitthere is always an exception to the norm. The car was pretty fast.

Wow, you have a hyd cam big enough to justify 7800rpm?
Or is it the boost?

this is very true.

I am very **** about what is floating around in my engine

Hell maybe AFR has fixed the problem. at the time there was a half a dozen people other then me having problems with the springs eating the bars same as I was. I was running them with Comp "R"s.

I tooki those out and just went to Morel Links.

The only reason i was running the kit was so the lifter "dog bones" would not lift and let the Lifter go

How high did you spin the motor, that the lifter "bones" raised up? I've had my setup to 6800 a few times, and the only thing that ever went wrong(few years ago) was that lifter came apart, bent two pushrods, and two inner springs broke..all at the same time, lol. Ever since I changed the cam/springs/pushrods, never had a problem...and its seen 6800rpm several times

I have been spining this car past that number for over ten years

I never had an Issue but I know a few who have and did not want to take the chance. Boy did I pay for it!

Today the car was spun to 7,200 every shift every pass
