Default Painted water pump?

Anybody ever do this or powder coat them? I'm doing an electric and was thinkin about doin it while its off?

I couldn't find anything with the search so lets see some pics if you have

I paid someone to paint my WP, Intake and Acc bracket red this summer.
It looked good, but it flaked after the install. Which is really too bad because otherwise, he did a good job.
Powdercoating would have been a much smarter idea.



I've since stripped them all and left them that way.

I painted mine gloss black with Dupli color stuff. I sanded it with 320, primed, two coats of gloss, and a light coat of clear:


Everything was going to be gloss black or polished.

^ I had to do it to offset the added weight of the paint.

James Montigny, thats what I was afraid of happening with paint. I'm really liking the black look though!

Painted mine with the Pontiac Blue duplicolor engine paint and it has never flaked or peeled. Still looks good after 9 years. It's all in the prep work to keep it from coming off.
